Why your business needs a website, in plain words

Your shop window, open day and night on your customers' phones: what a website really does, what social media can't do, and what it costs.

About this service

A website is a shop window that never closes. Someone hears about you, or searches for your trade on Google: within seconds, on their phone, they see who you are, what you do, your prices or opening hours — and they can call you, book or ask for a quote. An Instagram page helps people discover you; your website is the place that belongs to you and where customers take action.

What's included

Be found by people who don't know you yet

When someone types “plumber” or “restaurant” and the name of their town, Google shows websites. Without one, you don't exist for that person — even if you're the best on the street.

Answer questions instead of the phone

Opening hours, address, prices, photos, common questions: your website answers them at 11pm and on Sundays. You're interrupted less, and customers don't wait for a call back.

Take care of the repetitive work

A website can take bookings, send a quote, receive an order or remind a customer: those are the tools. They handle on their own the small tasks that eat hours every week, and everything lands on your phone.

A place that's yours

On social media, the platform decides who sees your posts and can close an account overnight. Your website, on your own domain name, stays yours: nobody can switch it off, and what you put on it belongs to you.

Frequently asked questions

I already have a Facebook or Instagram page — isn't that enough?

It helps you stay in touch with people who already follow you. But people searching for your trade on Google almost never land on a social account: they land on websites. The two work together, with the website at the centre.

Isn't a website a hassle to run?

No. We build it and put it online for you; on a subscription we also look after hosting and fixes. If you want to change a text, a photo or a price yourself, the content editor lets you do it without breaking anything.

How much does a website cost?

On a subscription, £88 a month + £588 set-up fee with no minimum term; or bought outright from £2,999, paid in one go or in three instalments, and it's yours. The subscription-or-buy page compares both line by line.

How long until it's online?

3 to 10 days, depending on the website. In August 2026, two online shops appeared in Google Search one and three days after launch; these observations do not guarantee the same timing for your website.

This is a paid service covered by a contract. We agree the price, services, any payment arrangements and payment dates before work starts.
