Search intent page: what it is, explained simply

Just started your business? Click here

A search intent page answers what your customer actually types into Google. What it is, an example, and what Google itself writes, with the links.

About this service

A search intent page is a page written to answer one precise search, in the customer's own words. Nobody types “cleaning service provider”: people type “office cleaning Seville” or “after-builders cleaning”. When your site has a page that answers that request, in those words, Google can show it to the person typing it. That is how we talk: service by service, and by what your customers are really looking for.

What's included

What Google says: think about your customers' words

In its SEO Starter Guide, Google writes: “Think about the words that a user might search for to find a piece of your content.” A search intent page starts exactly there: the words your customer types.

What Google says: useful content first

In the same guide: “Creating content that people find compelling and useful will likely influence your website's presence in search results more than any of the other suggestions in this guide.” A page that truly answers the customer's question is a useful page.

What Google says: write for people, not for rankings

On its page “Creating helpful, reliable, people-first content”: “Google's automated ranking systems are designed to prioritize helpful, reliable information that's created to benefit people, and not content that's created to manipulate search engine rankings.” A search intent page is not a keyword trap: it is a real answer.

What about Google's AI answers?

On its page “AI Features and Your Website”, Google writes: “The best practices for SEO remain relevant for AI features in Google Search (such as AI Overviews and AI Mode). There are no additional requirements to appear in AI Overviews or AI Mode, nor other special optimizations necessary.” No secret recipe for AI: clear pages, by service and by intent.

What Google says: no secret to ranking first

Google puts it plainly in its guide: “There are no secrets here that'll automatically rank your site first in Google (sorry!).” What works: useful pages that answer real searches, and measuring what they bring.

A concrete example

A cleaning company in Seville: one page per service (offices, end of building works, residential blocks) and pages that answer real searches, such as “office cleaning Seville”. Each page says what the company does, where, and how to reach it, then answers the questions people ask before calling.

What we do at Ultras-Sites

We talk service by service: in Local SEO, we put 3-4 of your services forward and 3-4 pages tied to your trade, search intent pages written with your customers' words. Then, every 3-4 days, we look at what people really type to find you, and we adjust.

Frequently asked questions

Is a search intent page a blog post?

Not quite. A blog post explains a topic; a search intent page answers the precise request of a customer ready to act (“office cleaning Seville”) and gives them a way to reach you. The two work together: the post links to the page.

How many search intent pages do I need?

It depends on your market. Local SEO starts with 3-4 services and 3-4 pages tied to your trade. A market study tells whether to go further: in a very sought-after place or a very competitive sector, it is Ultra SEO straight away.

Does Google guarantee a position?

No, and nobody can honestly guarantee one: Google says so itself (the quote is above).
